The redesigned Florida Wind Mitigation (OIR-B1-1802) form is now live for everyone

Hey all,

As most of you know, a new version of the Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form (OIR-B1-1802) went into effect at the start of this month, and we’ve shipped a major update to InterNACHI’s 1802 reporting tool to match. Along with supporting the new 2026 v2 form, this release brings a batch of improvements to the guided, self-validating workflow we introduced a few years ago—catching missing answers and bad inputs before you submit, labeling and organizing your photos for you, and producing a polished report your clients (and carriers) can actually read.

Highlights from what’s new:

  • Brand new experience. The new version is an updated experience that works better on mobile, is easier to get around, and has a more modern look-and-feel.
  • Available for all inspections. If you perform 1802 inspections outside the MSFH program, the updated form is now the default experience when you start a wind mitigation inspection. We also support “Compatibility Mode” if you need to support both the old and new 1802 forms.
  • Better opening protection workflow. A redesigned count UI makes it easier to tally protected and unprotected openings, validation errors are smarter, and automatic duplicate photo detection was added for faster, more reliable picture labeling.
  • Improved labeling workflow. Uploads keep the order you added them in, and labels now carry through to the zoomable images in the QA summary so you can quickly review your form.
  • Automatic wind speed lookups. We now pre-fill the region based on the property address. You can always check the public ASCE Hazard Tool to verify and override.

You can create an 1802 from the “Reports” section of your dashboard at any time!

Cheers,

Chris
