The VA is doing something unexpected

The Veterans Administration is considering making changes to their Minimum Property Requirements (MPR). If you have ever attempted to get or been part of a VA loan transaction you know just what a pain in the ass it can be. Well, the VA is asking for public comment on the proposal. Please think about taking time to provide some input so that the process can be made easier and Veteran buyers can be more competitive in this tight market. Find the portal here.

It’s unfortunate that the MPRs sometimes cause sellers to not even consider offers from those using VA loans. Hopefully this will change.

Yep. The current system sets up a discriminatory bias and puts the Veteran at a distinct disadvantage. Any hope of negotiating a better deal based on the inspection is gone, and thats assuming like you said, the seller is willing to consider the VA loan.
