I was hoping someone might have some insight on this one. I came across a 1986 mobile home with a metal roof that had been covered in what appeared to be a skim coat of concrete. I have never seen this before and feel like this is not a proper application but I can’t find any information on what this might be. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, the info is appreciated! I will do some more research on this product, I don’t do a lot of mobile homes.
FYI, after 1976 build date they are called “manufactured homes”.
And there are dozens of fluid applied coatings that can applied to the roof of one of these structures.
Noted, I appreciate it.

이러한 부분을 액체방수(제물 치장 방수)라고 부릅니다.

In South Korea, This is called liquid waterproofing. I don’t know how it’s expressed in English, so I’ll upload it as it is in Korean
It’s the same type of thing as here, it sounds like.
여기와 같은 종류입니다.
Did you place a ladder on the edge of the home and physically touch the material?
Yes, and you can see the tell-tale original seams in the metal roof showing through the silver coating (likely brushed or rolled on).
