My daughter is dating a farmer and to smooth me up he brought over a crate of tomatoes.

I skinned 20 large tomatoes
Added 1/2 sweet chopped onion, 6 cloves chopped fresh garlic and cooked low till translucent
Mashed all the tomatoes and left the seeds (lazy azz)
Added 1/2 a habbenero pepper (mushed it all)
Added the onion, garlic bits
Pepper, salt. oregano, fresh basil
1/2 can tomato paste
1/2 lime squeezed

Simple as can be and its all bubbled down nice and thick

Son and his sweety come over tomorrow night and we are having good old spaghetti and meatballs/ New York style cheesecake for desert.

Man, I haven’t had homemade sauce in years, its so fine it will be hard to buy store-made sauce for some time.

Making salsa next.

You’re making me hungry…again.

i’m making me hungry too!

Sounds good, Paul! Nothing like homemade sauce.

My brides Sicilian recipe is superb!..cooked down for 8 hours or more…I love it. But it doesn’t love me so I take a couple antacids and chow down.

Mmmmmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmmmmmm ENJOY

If you haven’t had a Sicilian holiday seafood pasta I’ll pass along the recipe.
Got it off the food chanel’s dives diners dinettes or some thing like that. Monterey Fish House restaurant.

That sounds good.

Tomorrow night some of my kids and their boyfriends/ girlfriends will be over, oldest one still at home flew off to Texas as her boyfriend is finished boot camp. At first I thought uhhh? Then I found out she is traveling with his mother and sister. Wife and I had a good laugh over that.

Hey Paul, we’re on the same page, I got a bunch of tomato 2nd’s at the farmers market a couple weeks back and made a straight tomato sauce and then a Bolognese sauce too, froze them for winter when it will with give me a taste of Summer!

Bolognese sauce, I still have some tomatoes so I’ll Google that.

Basically it’s just spaghetti sauce with meat(s) added!

That’s it, Mexican for dinner tonight.
