I encountered this type of screw on a dead front cover for the first time. It has 2 small holes instead of a square or flathead.
Is there a driver attachment I can buy to remove it or a special tool that someone can recommend? Thanks

It looks like a snake eye tamper proof screw. You can buy the drivers needed to unscrew these screws
That’s the right tool for the job Larry! They also make little spanner bits you can put in a driver

You don’t know how many times those things have saved me working on cars, appliances etc. that have those pesky clips and screws. Haven’t failed me yet…
First thing they teach in shop class. “Screwdrivers are not pry bars.” Second thing, “Needle nose pliers are not wrenches.” Never paid attention to either one! Using the wrong tool, because it’s what you have, for the job you need to get done has always worked for me.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Looks like I’ll be adding to my bit set.
Michael’s Harbor Freight tip set is a great and cheap investment.
I come to the thread expecting to see someone talking about ECX bits and realize it’s something else.
Not that I’ll ever need most of these, but I just found a 101 security kit on Amazon for $14 so I had to have it.
The HF ones are cheap and usable… but not great bits. Spend real money on the bits you actually use often.
Brings back memories of the Primative Pete films we had to watch the first day of class for shop classes.
Old news… was doing that over 40 years ago.
Super generous genius sharing his wisdom. Thank you Tom
