Just plain, bad writing...
Quote:
She and her husband bought a new $450,000 home but had to move out on her doctor's orders when Somerville was diagnosed with asthma, sick building syndrome and a sinus infection resulting from toxic mould and a cocktail of other chemicals in the inside air.

In preceding paragraphs the writer concedes that moulds are not toxic, and that only some people with pre-existing conditions are affected by exposure to moulds. With respect to the paragraph above, one must ask "Was it the mould alone, or the "cocktail of other chemicals in the inside air" which affected the building occupant?

I suppose it's somewhat predictable, despite modern studies which have debunked the fears about mold, that the Star would run a story about "toxic mould" and that you would jump up and down over it... and post an excited message - as if nobody's ever heard about mould before.

"If it bleeds, it reads," so I understand why a news medium would run with the story... but you swallowed it, hook, line and sinker - just like the amateur that you are. And a few NACHI neophytes who can't read, write or think any better than you, might swallow it just because you posted it here.

As per usual Gil wants to shoot the messenger .
I reported what was in the Star and yes Inspectors and others will be sued.
I can not see where I said mould was toxic .
What gives you the idea I swallowed the story.
I do my best to stay out of trouble .
I do know you have needed a lawyer more then once.

Yes some people are predisposed to moulds, while others show no symptoms. I can tell you there are very toxic moulds which are dangerous and will affect the health of healthy individuals even if they are not compromised. To that end it is fortunate thankfully we do not hear of many cases.

Most recently one of the boards of education in Toronto had a very serious mould problem in its portable classrooms. Many children were effected because of the type of mould. So you do not know as usual what you are talking about.

Your post slamming Roy is nothing short of a personal attack because you can't stand anything he says even if it is educational. Get a life!

I think Mr. Bottoms is getting desperate again ..... He never seems to let facts stand in the way of dumb rebuttals. The court jester strikes again.

Ray
I have to agree Dave has a problem he can not tell the difference
from Bashing and the truth.
I do not think he has ever got over being desperate and jealous.

I tell the truth and it will stand the test of time .
So glad to hear he is giving up his Bottle now if he will try and
Some RHI inspectors in Toronto must be busy. I had two ask
me to do inspections in the Whitby, Bowmanville area recently.

something that all Canadian inspectors should be concerned about .

miss nothing . Regardless what Mr ??? from Trenton says . I hope to

stay out of court.

Yes its coming and it could be bigger the UFFI from 20 years ago and still

people ask about it .

Did One yesterday 18 years old Lovely home and The client wanted me

to tell him there was no UFFI . He would have walked if I had any

hesitation .
