Came across a “Dutch Hip” style roof with trusses with what appears to be some kind on site built add-on modification.
I am recommending Further Eval by SE as this appears to have been a non-standard field modification. This is to a condominium complex, and ownership of this space is unclear.
How are other inspectors handling "common area" construction practices?
The pictures below show how the top portion is not connected to the engineered trusses.

Hi Shawn,
good call, I would have done the same, I do not believe that the lower set of trusses were engineered to carry the loads of the upper truss system, It looks a lot like a site built truss system was added over an "off the shelf" truss. Had that design been an engineered solution I think that the trusses would have been of a single piece "scissor" design.

Not sure about the white wire. At first glance I thought it was a lightning protection wire of some sort but it doesn’t appear to have the correct gage like some of the others I have come across.
Realtor wasn't too excited about me being up in the attic so I didn't investigate further. Recommended the buyer get with "maintenance/association" to explain.
