If your wife has family or friends in harms way I hope they’ll make it through this okay.

I too have enough room for one family of 3, I’m waiting to see what happens here in Ohio and how and if I can get on some type of list.

The first family we took in did great. They both got work permits, then Colorado driver’s licenses. She got a great-paying job working in Denver in international shipping. She’s making $80K + benefits and gets every other Friday off. Both kids already picking up English. He took his CDL exams in English and is working for an appliance-repair shop. They bought two used cars. A couple weeks ago they rented a townhouse not far from us and moved out on their own. We had dinner at our house with them two nights ago and of course they will be spending Christmas with us. They are off and running, productive members of society.

Since then we took in two more refugees.

I know it sounds like it was difficult for us to take them in, it really wasn’t. They made it easy for us and our house is enormous, so it’s not like we’re crawling over each other.
