Under ground stream

A seasonal stream has been covered using 12 inch culvert, spanning about 100 yards. The stream is currently flooding the property. Any drainage experts.

I’m guessing that if it is a seasonal stream…the house is possibly built in a flood plain? That should be covered under state regs…and should be checked by the zoning authority of your county…correct?

I would recommend that flood plain research be done?

with the amount of rain we’ve had here in W. Wa. this season, I think there is a lot of abnormal flooding happening. I see standing water in many places that during a normal winter we wouldn’t have. A lot more basements having problems, there’s just no where for the water to go! Since Oct. we are 24" above normal precip. This mo. has had over 9" above a normal Jan.

Move to Ireland … for the sun.
