Water heater install?

I know there are other issues at hand here but I’ve never seen a tank installed like this with the cold water connection at the bottom. I don’t see how it would effect it though.

Any thoughts or ideas on if this should be in my report?

Thanks in advance.
Paul

You may want to think about this a bit more as to what difference it makes with the cold water inlet tube at the bottom. Even though the inlet is on the top on some models. the cold water is still introduced to the bottom of the tank via a dip tube. (Same difference)

It looks like that water heater may have been intended for use as part of a hydronic (aka Apollo) type heating system.

I agree, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. This makes around my 30th inspection or so and haven’t ran into this one yet, haha.

That’s what Manufacturer Installation Manuals are for.
Did you look it up yet?

No, I have not. Thanks for your insight though.

Side feed hot water heater. I just instaled this one at my house. I removed a top feed and installed this hybrid hot water heater. works great, No matter what the critics say. No issues as of yet.

Looks like a typical mobile home install.
