New electric oven was wired with 10g wire on a 30 amp breaker. I turned on the four burners and oven and my amp meter was pulling almost 50 amps.

Damn good question. I turned on the oven and run down stairs to check my amp meter. As soon as I read it I flipped the breaker.

What was the kw rating of the oven?
Robert, I didn’t pull it out to look at the data plate. It was a new Samsung convection oven.
Nothing to worry about then. It will be dead in six weeks with no companies willing to work on it.
