I use a Microsoft Word template that I created myself. You can get the professional quality look without the hassles of subscription services that the inspection software companies offer.

I did the same thing, Richard. They’re on another hard drive but it was very professional looking like yours. :+1:

Does Microsoft Word charge you a subscription fee? I know you used to be able to buy it outright but I believe it’s a subscription today.

There are two sections of the BB that you can easily get your answer from; Computers and Technology, Report Writing. I fully expect that just about every major software provider has been discussed here.

How do you collect your data on the inspection. I used an Excel spread sheet when I first started. But I had to hand write notes and enter in my computer at home. Can you enter it into word on your phone or tablet?

No, Word for iPhone doesn’t allow me to access content control of my .dotm file.

I have a printed checklist that I take notes on and I take 300 or so pictures and videos as needed. I take it all back to the office to complete the report.
