Who is Sarah Palin?

Look, we have all seen the DSM feeding frenzy, recently, on Palin. Let’s use this thread to show how the different sides portray her:

And, finally, even though it’s not, directly, about Sarah Palin, here is a columnist, conservative, and a Professor at the University of South Carolina - Wilmington, as he laments all the “liberated” Democratic women who are now going to College.

He really gets it, and just wants to help:

Well, so much for the Conservative side.

I am sure that some will post the leftist view of Palin. Go right ahead.

I leave it to the membership to read each side and decide for themselves.

But, read them all and check it out for yourself. Don’t be lazy, do your homework. This is an election year, after all.

Sarah comes out Swining and Zinging Barrack

Palin to jab Obama, cast herself as outsider](http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080903/D92VHVGO0.html)

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin cast herself as an outsider and took a swipe at Democrat Barack Obama on Wednesday in what was the most anticipated speech of the Republican National Convention. She pledged that as John McCain’s running mate, she wanted to go to Washington not to seek the media’s approval but “to serve the people of this country.”

Depicting herself as “just your average hockey mom,” Palin described her political career as mayor of her small town before her election as governor.

“Since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves,” Palin said in excerpts of her remarks, released in advance of her appearance. **“I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities.”
**

I was ho hum about McCain and was close to voting for Obama just to shake things up… that is until his VP choice. Now I’m excited for the Republicans again and look forward to tonight’s speech to win me over.

Sarah has to do well and sell herself tonight.

I’ve got a good feeling that this NRA mama will do just fine.

As a life long Chicagoian, and one who has followed Obama’s career, here is a question.

It is very clear, and documented, that Sarah Palin has a history of bucking the Republican Machine in Alaska, rooting out corruption, defeating a Republican Mayor a Republican Governor candidate and a Republican Senator, as well as having those people procecuted. She has proven herself to be a reformer, even in reforming her own party.

2 questions:

  1. When has Barack Obama, the seemingly messianic “reformer” EVER bucked the corrupt Illinois Democratic Machine? Not Mayor Daley, not the Illinois Governor (who will soon be under inditement) or the corrupt Illinois Democractic legislators? (as a matter of fact, what has he EVER done, other than give speeches and write books. He started running for Pres when he was a senator for only 120 days!).

  2. As a Democrat who spoke out against his own party and tried to get them to reform, and was shunned by his party in his re-election campaign (but who still ran, and won, as an independent), why is the only Democrat reformer, Joe Lieberman, now being labeled, by his party, as a Traitor?

Just thought I would ask.

Michael, I hope she knocks it out of the park.

So, you’re saying that she is now for sale…or are we speaking about prostitution, here?

Has the news media heard about this?

James,

I have sent your contact information to George Soros, Michael Moore and the Daily Kos.

I’m sure they will be in contact soon.

  1. Out of context.
  2. Appealing to people’s lower nature.
  3. Clueless, or totally unserious.

I believe we have a liberal winner.

You go, Jimmy.

Perhaps she will answer to the ever growing suspicion of her among voters.

I would love if she admits to being a secret member of the AIP.

She spoke at the AIP convention on video.

If you do not know yet , it is a party her husband belongs to that wish’s by many members to leave from the United States.

This is a very radical organization.

Source is AP .

Actually, if you research it, they just want the federal government to give back stolen land to the state.

Like Anwar.

The American Indian Party local headquarters is about 3 miles from my house and I know many members.

Her husband is a registered Innuate (Native American, to you, Bob.).

Sometimes you gotta look deeper than the news paper reporters. They, unfortunately, get it wrong, sometimes.

You probably still believe that the Boston Tea Party was a protest against higher British taxes on tea, which it was not (but was reported as such, in the newspapers of the time).

Bob E,

The source of the informaton relative to Palin’s inclusion within that particular radical organization was corrected earlier today. The information was totally innaccurate, as reported by the person who dug up the lie to begin with.

As to this:

If this is so true, then why is she so very popular among virtually ALL Alaskans. In fact, she is one of the most popular governors in history.

Not bad for being on the job for less than 2 years, is it?

With all the smears against her; with all the rhetoric; with all the lies; with demands for DNA testing (who the hell though that one up), she delivered her message near PERFECTLY this evening.

Bottom line is that she’s done more than either Obama or Biden in her few years in public office.

This election is McCain’s to lose; not Obama’s to win.

At the end of the day, we’ll have to see who the American public believes more.

I believe Ms. Palin removed all doubt this evening.

Bob, you just GOTTA get out more. Yahoo? You’re quoting freakin’ Yahoo?

After all the stupid stuff reported, this week, by the DSM, you still believe all the junk they post?

What are you, an Obama supporter. They are the only fools who drink that Kool-aid.

Check this out:

http://www.anncoulter.com/

Fine. She is conservative and can be somewhat caustic, but she, at least, checks her freakin’ sources.

Now, there is this:

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/09/03/politics/fromtheroad/entry4413030.shtml

You gonna quote them to?

Funny, how the National Enquirer, and NO ONE ELSE in the DSM got, or covered, the John Edwards adultry story, ain’t it?

My opinion, she nailed it.

Now, look for McCain to close the deal, tomorrow.

Anyone who watched the speech tonight knows who she is now and the rest will learn in the next few days… I will admit I said “who?” when she was announced the other day… but the more I learn… the more I like… seems like a great choice!

Notice she did not have any public appearances yesterday or today in order to prep for this speech with the teleprompter. She appeared very comfortable in front of the crowd and the camera.

Things may or may not be different when she is live with the press and public. Time will tell. I would not expect any different reactions from those that were supporters or detractors prior to the speech.

I don’t care for her political stand on the issues so it did not sway me. No need to name call or get nasty with our fellow inspectors. It has already raised it’s ugly head and will only damage our individual reputations. For that reason I will continue my support for Obama in private and attempt to stay away from posting on these threads on the message board.

Good luck to all. Have a drink, take a deep breath, relax and whatever happens on election day, stay safe during your inspections.

I’m out.

I was in the same boat, Nick. McCain has my vote 100%. Thank you Sarah.

What an awesome GOP convention last evening.

Well the reaction(overreaction is lively) to Sarah’s speech.

Stylists to passe Sarah Palin: Let your hair down](http://news.bostonherald.com/news/2008/view.bg?articleid=1116858&srvc=2008campaign&position=8)

Yes, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has a lot on her plate: a pregnant teen daughter, a son on his way to Iraq, an infant with Down syndrome and a looming national election.

But must her hair suffer? With her long, straight, often pinned-up locks, Palin looks one humid day away from fronting a Kiss cover band.

“It’s about 20 years out of date,” said Boston stylist Mario Russo of the Alaska governor’s ’do. “Which goes to show how off she might be on current events.”

Palin: wrong woman, wrong message](http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/opinion/la-oe-steinem4-2008sep04,0,1290251.story)

Sarah Palin shares nothing but a chromosome with Hillary Clinton. She is Phyllis Schlafly, only younger.

…But here is even better news: It won’t work. This isn’t the first time a boss has picked an unqualified woman just because she agrees with him and opposes everything most other women want and need. Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It’s about making life more fair for women everywhere. It’s not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many of us for that. It’s about baking a new pie.

Typical. and all they can complain about is her hair?

I’m hearing a lot of good reviews, even from the MSM.

I like her, she has the “bring it on” attitude and confidence to succeed.
She’s going to be the most communicative and accessible VP in history.

The Palin train is on its way now, way to go, Sara !

I would like someone to tell me what a particular HAIR STYLE has to do with her wit and her intelligence and why the style has anything to do with her being (what they call) “UP” on todays current events. That’s totally ridiculous. So if my hair is cut to fit a style of the seventies, I don’t know what’s going on in todays events? Let’s get real.

Why can’t the DEMS find something REAL to go on? Like her beliefs and her experience as governor.

By the way…I want to know what experience this idiot has in order to run and protect our country…NONE.
