Wire size ofr stove insert

Aged home with a wall stove (no cook top)
Had a 30 amp breaker in the main panel and what looked to be only 20 amp wire servicing it.
Of course the wire was aged and no true markings.

What is the general amperage rating for any cook top or single slide in oven?

It’s quite possible that there are 20 amp cooking appliances manufactured, although I’ve never seen one, but that is beside the point.

This is not one of those circuits where it’s allowed to have conductors with an ampacity rating below that of the OCPD.
