Work for yourself or for a company?

I have just discovered this message board recently and have found it very helpful. I seem to notice, however, that most everyone here works for themselves. Is that true. Are there any inspectors out there that work for larger companies and are they members of NACHI? Seems to me you would have just as much to gain here whether you work for yourself or for someone else?

Ed,

I am presently employed by a local Home Inspection company with no choice of my own.
I am doing my state required (one year) time right now. During this time it gives me the opportunity to prepare my marketing materials for some massive marketing in my area. This full-time employment gave me the opportunity to educate and better myself for the Big Time.
