Yep. And locks on water spigots (due to the number of people living in cars, or cardboard shacks).

A bucket would have worked better…

It may have been factory installed as a shipping block/protector on a different stub-out, and never thrown away.

Spot on Jeff

Here’s one where I reported an open firewall.
A few years later the bldg burnt down from an ungrounded ceiling fan.
The holes created a back draft where the fire doubled in size every 60 sec. Comcast got sued

Cable/internet installers have zero craftmanship. If they are not kicking holes in draft stops, they are running the cable across the scuttle hole and/or electrical panel. If a job needs 50 cable staples, they use 6. I’ve seen them disconnect grounding electrode conductors so they can use the clamp for their ground. It just never ends.

I had fiber installed four years ago. At least 20 calls later, the cable is still not buried. They are just trying to get caught up, but I am always next on their list.

+10 on that.
And a drip loop? What’s that ?
All they care about is that ESPN works when they leave.

I got tired of seeing their orange cable on the lawn.
So I called & told them my grand daughter tripped on it.
They were out the next day.
