400 school shootings in the last 15 yrs. The next country behind us is Canada at 10. We need to put automatic electronic locks on all entrances and have a one way in one way out policy unless an emergency occurs. We need armed guards at all schools on permanant basis. To many nuts roaming around. This has to stop.
Indeed we are in the midst of a seemingly unstoppable downward spiral as a society.
Blame has to fall, at least partially, on the shoulders of the parents who raised such an individual.

My .03 second Google search shows it as 400 *students, *not 400 shootings.
And who would watch them ?

The electronics industry has introduced so many games to our society that are all so very harmful to our children, with nothing but killing, robbing and pure violence, and the parents allow their kids to play these all day and all night long. There is no wonder kids can not tell the difference from right and wrong. What ever happened to playing ball with other kids and forming useful social skills?

I have no words to say to be able to bring back the innocent children that lives were taken from them. God Bless all the affected people.
Society has changed, for the worse and not getting any better, maybe God should start all over!!
People need to help each other not be hurtful and harmful.

I agree with Nick on this one. There will never be a day that we remove all guns from society. So why not arm the good people?
Give guns to teachers, train them how to use them, make them qualify and then carry them and store them properly. Only for the ones that feel comfortable with them. It should be a choice with the administration required to have them.
Just my two cents and I am a liberal, just don’t see another way around it.

Mental health is an issue in each of these senseless killings and at no time has that issue been discussed or meaningfully addressed.
But the government will design feel good “Band-Aid Legislation” and then will defend as they did their best to address the issue… while not addressing the problem…

Teachers are generally liberals and their teachings are contributory to the problem we now have …
Schools used to have Zero-Tolerance policies…

Anti-Social Behavior have “Code Words” that are broadcasted so the students know the risk…
Drug Dealing, Violence and other illegal activities are often condoned within the schools…

In Israel, teachers and administrators are trained in small arms and are packin’ so that they have the tools and skill sets needed to fulfill their responsibility to protect the children in their care.
I have sent this letter to The Special Forces Association and to a friend of the family who is the Department Head of the “Special Needs” Division of a Junior High School.
To whom it may concern:
As a Vietnam veteran, father and grandfather I am deeply saddened about the murder of the helpless children at Sandy Hook elementary school.
In Israel the schoolteachers are trained in the use of small arms. They have the knowledge, the training, and the arms to defend the children in their classes.
If one or more of the schoolteachers, administrative staff and/or employees at Sandy Hook Elementary had been armed this psychopath would not have been able to murder the 20 children plus the six adults. If even one of the six adults who was murdered was armed I’m sure that the outcome would have been different! I’m sure that if one or more teachers and or staff/employees had been armed they would have been able to take him down before he murdered 20 innocent children and six unarmed adults!
The signs that declared this a “Gun Free Zone” was an open invitation confirming that he would not have any armed opposition and that he should have no fear of an armed intervention coming from within the school itself!
I believe that the “answer” is not to disarm all of the innocent man and women in America who have not committed a crime but …… to train and arm our schoolteachers ……not only in Connecticut but throughout the nation.
I would like to see the Special Forces Association not only endorse this course of action but make a public statement encouraging our schoolteachers to train themselves in the use of small arms and adopt the “training methods” used in Israel.
Ø The Special Forces Association certainly has enough members who are more than qualified to help implement this much-needed program.
I’m sure that we could get Special Forces Volunteers/trainers in all 50 states! I would be more than happy to volunteer for the state of New Hampshire.
