4 mock inspections to complete

Hello,

I have a question about the 4 mock inspections. I don’t have all the tools to complete the inspections. Do I just do it all visual or do I need to go buy the basic tools, then complete the mock inspections?

That is my question, I watch all the inspections videos on YouTube or where I can find, I see the tools. Just curious

I’m just going by what I have watched on YouTube from different inspectors. Just want to make sure I do it right.

That’s what I suspected, thus my question.
IMO, (29+ years inspecting), you need very few tools to get started and train/educate.
Every inspector has their own list of tools they think are essential, but I guarantee you that 50% of them, (tools, not the inspectors), rarely get used if ever!
There are a few threads on this MB that have good discussions and photos on what many working inspectors use on a daily basis. I’ll try to find one in particular I’m thinking of that should be helpful to you when I get time later today.

Get an outlet tester or if you’re cheap, bend the tines on a fork. ;).
