If you plan on buying a home I would recommend a Radon test for any home in northern Wisconsin. A Real Estate transaction is big ticket item and a simple radon test is good to do when purchasing any home or cabin.
Here is a picture of a radon mitigation system installed on a home. The problem here is that they used gutter material to form the stack pipe. It will work, but will need to be sealed very well. Dents can easily occur here. Schedule 20 or greater PVC pipe would be a better option.

I have learned that radon is the second highest cause of lung cancer. Safe levels are below 4 pCi/L. Tests should be done if you are buying a home or selling a home. If you are buying and the home has had a test done in the past it is up to you to accept it or get another one done.

These two images are part of a moisture mitigation system. They’re installed in an unfinished basement. There is a crawl-space beneath the sub-floor of the basement. You can see the inline fan for this active system. No seal around that penetration is something to note. It seems a little odd they didn’t just integrate a radon system. The crawl-space has the required 6mil barrier with and gravel underneath.
