Hey everyone, hope all is well! I recently completed the Initial Radon Measurement course through InterNACHI. I am also studying the aarst/ansi sop. Anyone have any other suggestions? Im out of WV and know my requirements for this already. Thanks everyone in advance, have a great rest of the day.
The negative with the nachi course is that it is weak on the math part of the NRPP test. My suggestion is do some additional study on radon math as there were five or more questions with math in the test that I took.
Thank you for the advice Lon.
Yeppers…
Yet claims to be a “University” but teaches mostly 5th grade level programs!!
Radon in particular, (industry wise), is looked upon as a “post-graduate” level to get licensed!
For either the NRPP or NRSB tests the internachi material is only a good starting point. Know the EPA docs that the exam pulls from forwards and backwards. And as already said, know the numbers and the math, the conversions etc…
BTW, the test I took showed the formulas, so I didn’t have to have them memorized, but I had to know which formula solved the question in the test.
I just went ahead and purchased the AARST study guide for the NRPP Exam. Thanks for all the help.
Update, took the test today and did not pass. I didnt get the NHIE the first time either but i passed the second. An additional 30 days of studying won’t hurt and obviously is needed. Thanks everyone!
