I am an American and I love our country. Having an army, schools, police, fire, roads, etc, etc, etc, requires someone to pay for them, they aren’t free. I don’t always agree with how our tax dollars are spent, but it is our civic duty to pay our fair share. No one likes a welfare cheat, but it okay to be a tax cheat? These new employees won’t be carrying guns and wearing badges, they will wear pocket protectors and carry calculators. If you are doing your job as an American and not cheating on your taxes, then you have nothing to fear. You can be happy knowing that finally, these tax cheats are going to have to start paying their fair share.
Interesting to know how big the republicans lost was last night when you consider that Oprah Winfrey defeated both her friend Dr. Oz and the former president of the free world. Think about it, had we run Oprah instead of Hillary in 2016 there would have never been a president Trump. 2024 should be an absolute hoot!
Did you see that Oz actually conceded to Fetterman? Makes you wonder if he is a real Republican.
Oz wanted to beat the rush hour traffic back across to New Jersey where he lives. I’m guessing here that Oprah let Oz know that if he didn’t concede to Fetterman she’d release one of the skeletons out of Oz’s closet. The Senate is safe for at least another two years.
Said no free society ever… They can come at you a thousand ways and destroy you.
The tax system is too complex for anyone to comply, intentionally. People think the rich cheat, but most audits are performed on those collecting earned income tax credits, the poorest among us.
The tax system is antiquated, easily weaponized and incredibly inefficient. So no! I will not support adding 87,000 new employees to this system. Especially under the current economic climate.
I don’t understand nor like the political comments posted in the Forum. I thought it was supposed to be a place for Inspectors to ask questions not RANT against parties.
It still is used for inspector questions, you just happened to land in the misc. section. For me, I just ignore the topics I am not interested in.
Yesterday was a day in which everyone is encouraged to vote for their choice. Is Internachi the forum to express political views? I just don’t think this is the place to express political views for either party!
Thank you for joining nine minutes ago. You’ve been an incredible contributor to this forum keep up the good work.
Here is where you can filter out anything you do not like and dial in on things that interest you.
I don’t want an army that invades other nations that never did anything to us. School, fire departments and roads are local taxes, which I don’t mind paying.
Our federal government is limited in its duties which are enumerated in the Constitution, the supreme law of our land. Spending money on stuff that they are prohibited from doing is illegal. Collecting taxes from us to fund those illegal activities is also illegal. So I don’t think one can really cheat on their federal taxes. Starve the criminals.
Nick, you are very good at filing law suits and winning. Can’t you take these on too? Please help us!
That made me chuckle.
The guy that you pay $49 a month doesn’t think so.
You’re in MISC section.
I actually talked to a law firm about suing the federal reserver. Remember, the federal reserve is a private company and so much easier to sue than a government agency. They are fixing prices… the price of money. If InterNACHI fixed the prices of home inspections, the government would charge us with a crime.
InterNACHI is a trade association of businesses. This is a trade association forum. It’s part of InterNACHI. What affects our businesses more than politics, laws, regulations, and the economy???
Most trade association do WAY more than simply permitting political posts. They outright raise money for specific politicians and make political donations. Read: Trade association - Wikipedia
Trade means business. InterNACHI is an association of business owners. This isn’t Facebook.
What goes in the middle here? Looks like something was left out.
Regardless, which candidate has he supported? Where does “InterNACHI” say vote for this candidate?
Last I checked, Biden is not a candidate.
Spoken like a true liberal.
