Let’s try to keep this on topic and not a comparison of every software out there. I’m just wondering specifically about the ISN report writer. Are any more Porch “features” forced on me or my clients? Does the report deliver the same way as now when people don’t have to download the Porch app? How about the report itself? I’ve looked around on the ISN site but would love to get some real world feedback.
Just wondering if you have any follow up to your question from last year. I am considering ISN software currently
Forgot I even posted this… yeah, not much information
I’m still just using my MS Word template and converting it to PDF and emailing. Although, it’s worth noting I’m barely doing any inspections here in Maui after selling my multi-inspector company and relocating.
If I were still running a company I’d likely look into something else. But not even so much for myself but for the ease of my new employees. I’m fine getting through my template but I am still in close contact with the new owner of my old company and he says it’s MUCH easier to get someone up and running on a new style of software (he now uses Spectora but I’m pretty they’re all good).
IMO, coming from years in the biz I think everyone puts far too much stock in the end user’s experience with the software (basically buyers and their agents). The whole world still works off of a simple report on pages. Granted we’ve moved from printed to PDF electronic but it’s still basically the same. Clickable hyperlinks and boxes look fun but it really doesn’t help or make things quicker or easier for the end user.
Always remember - software isn’t developed to help the end user. It’s developed to sell software.
Thanks @mfellman I appreciate the thoughts and information!
