Hi everyone.
I’m working my way through the courses to take the exam. I’d like to follow some inspectors at work to help my learning. Is anyone in the Atlanta area (I’m in south Atl metro, Fayette) willing to let me ride along?
I’ve reached out to some contacts I had asking and didn’t get a response. Am I asking the wrong question - are there reasons you don’t want someone on a ride-along?

What Q’s are you asking?
To avoid competition.
Look for someone farther away from you.
And for this very reason, be sure to ‘vet’ who you are trying to ‘ride along’ with, as yes, there are some dirtbags out there (as in all businesses) that will purposely steer you in the wrong direction to mess you up! You need to know more than they are an inspector and they belong to Internachi, ASHI, etc.

Cindy, contact some CMIs or CPIs within 40 to 50 miles, or closer, to your area and communicate with them. Maybe one, or more, will help you. Some inspectors feel as though they are training their competition by ride-alongs or mentoring.
