Does the electrical power supply cord for this furnace in the attic look appropriate to you? Would the only correction needed here be to fasten the excess cord from the electrical outlet to the roof so that it does not dangle and hang over the electrical conduit?

Extension cords should not be used for permanent supply to equipment, if that is what it looks like.
And the cord is laying on top of Armored Cable. 
No, it’s not appropriate.
Should be hardwired with a disconnect/switch located at or near the unit.
That does appear to be the case if the electrical cord providing power to the furnace is connected to an electrical outlet. Thanks
