yeah shtt, if x-amount of patching, painting was done by whoever…in attempt to conceal, HIDE existing cracks/problems then the Foundation repair terd should have explained to you the possibilities of problems and costs for you… had the shithead done so you could have offered LESS for the house. He should have seen 1 stump it sounds like and possibly all 3 and told you about those possible problems/causes or that they already caused x amount of cracks that were patched over inside, which of course does NUTTIN, zip.
25’ back wall, how many feet of the front wall, where step crack (s) are, what ya think the total footage is there? And you could rent a trencher n DIY, with a few friends, just saying
Watch out!
This bubber guy is not well liked by the Anderson guy… … …
Listen to Mark Anderson, he know how to STOP the water from entering your basement!..good man.
I wish! I’m handy, but trenching and waterproofing is beyond my skillset. What kind of company should I be looking for?
i did a quick look for exterior waterproofing (ers) in Indy, i didn’t see anything other than those claiming they can install some shallow drain tile bullshtt outside lol, maybe try-ask the building department, not that that’ll be the ticket but maybe, lol they know, have seen 1 or 2 honest EXT company and can give you the number for an Est.
you could call n ask ‘some’ Builder’s Supply Co’s in your area, i don’t mean anything like Hm Depot or Lowes
we drove to the middle of Pennsylvania one time to help a good man, it was his parents house, they passed and he said he could only find INT system jerks who wanted $$$$ for the crap they do, we went n got him done. so maybe someone good n experienced from Cincy or Chi town wouldn’t mind driving a bit more.
Shtt we drove to Grand Rapids last year, clear across the state, that homeowner had INT nut job bids, he said the same thing you are, couldn’t find anyone willing to do EXT waterproofing and do n backfill it correctly.
I dunno, i might be willing if you wanted lolol to drive out but i could not drive out for an estimate, you’d need to take videos of inside, outside n send them plus check quite a few other things for us, would need correct linear footage and depth to footing, underground lines etc etc, you may get fed up quick with my many questons lol, plus there’s no way i would pull a permit, i dunno if your city requires one for waterproofing so, you’d need to pull it and you may not like that hahaha i don’t blame ayone for it, just saying there’s so much i can do from afar but i gurantee ya we don’t fk around and always take videos of all jobs. If you were to sell the house, if city requires a permit then, as i said you’d need to pull it n deal with it and as i keep thinking , lol, i can’t charge the same as i do around here if n when i go further, gas, motel etc costs, plus my guys hahahaa
If you can see your way to use Mark Anderson, you will be nothing but pleased for a job well done, I can say that, for sure!
Pages 6 and 7, Damage to Foundation Walls
in-part THEY write, "…the most successful repair method… remove and replace the clay with sand or gravel… and waterproof the exterior of wall…
Page 5 Trees, roots can cause damage too
Notice they do NOT say you should, install an INT system and c fiber straps like the twinkle toes you apparently had over, neither did John McEwen in CA, neither did Yoder builders and a few others who get most or all this subject
thanks Larry, lol, even when we went to PA and even with pictures etc of parents house, i did not know and could not tell from pic’s that house was on a pretty good HILL, sheesh, then we needed one more can of roofing cement that the very small town store doesn’t stock of course, had to use some whip cream shtt hahaha, all good, that was many years ago
Mikey Holmes, posted several of his lolol waterproofing videos, shttt, he charged a boatload $$$ and didn’t use hydraulic cement, only backfilled with 1-2’ gravel, the rest clay soil, how does that guy get away with shtt waterproofing and still to this day he is like a God to some, smh
