This free standing tub was loose/ not secured to the floor.
I was told it’s supposed to be that way
Just like a claw foot tub…?.. they say
THANKS

and so is the floor-mounted freestanding tub filler…
More than half of those freestanding “trendy tubs” I see installed swivel and move quite freely, typically rotating around the drain connection.
The floor faucet also leaks or dribble on the bathroom floor instead of inside the tub.
A bathroom tub is a fixture just like a water closet. Fixtures should be sealed with a bead of silicone.
Fill her up and she won’t move
Just like an unsecured toilet doesn’t move when you sit on it.
Like Martin said, the tub needs caulked/sealed at floor. I’ve ran across a few of these also, at upper level bathrooms, and they were not sealed,. very easy to move.
I believe we discussed this tub drain and installation before somewhere.
Also need for fixtures to be caulked.
Just installed one of those free standing “soaker tubs” a few weeks back and install instructions included securing the base of the tub with construction adhesive to prevent inadvertent movement and then add silicone bead around the base. Movement seems to be discouraged based upon that at least.
