Im looking for folks who currently do mold inspections. Im wondering what pump you all are using and what lab your using and why. Thanks in advance.
I use sporecyte for all my mold tests. they have the best reports and good testing fee’s

I have used Pro-Lab, EMSL, and a handful of others over the years. Switched to Sporecyte a couple of years ago and I really like their reports, turnaround times, and competitive fees. They just introduced a new mold pump that I am so far a pretty big fan of. Much easier to use and lighter than my old rotary pump. I had a chance to talk with them at length at the 2022 Convention and that is what sold me.

If you are in a Real Estate Transaction the way to go is a lab that can get the report to you within the day that they receive it. If I send samples to Pro lab on a Weds I get results on a thursday or Friday morning for econmomical costs. If I ust Emlab or EMSL I would be lucky to get the report back by Friday evening or most likely the next Monday and they charge double to triple, but their reports are thorough but they would piss off the Realtors and buyers if results could not be gotten within due diligence period. I use EMSL for a Monday or Tuesday testings so I can get report by a Friday (without paying an arm and a leg) and I use Pro Lab on Weds. and Thursdays testings. Sad that Emlab and EMSL cant get reports back to us faster without charging added fees.
