I simply report what appears, in my opinion, to be deficient. In the years that I worked as a Quality Control Manager for a builder, I frequently saw serious problems that the building inspector did not mention. If it was wrong, it was wrong and needed corrected.
The latest is that the builder gave in. The buyer told them that she was buying the home and that she wanted to choose who was going to inspect it. She sent them a copy of my insurance and a link to my web site. The squeaky wheel.
They had initially required that I fill out and sign their form and supply all the information but ended up not asking for any of it. I am doing the inspection next week.
