Would everyone please let me know what it is that you are using to track your finances, expenses, etc. Software? (what type) Or any other methods?

I use Excel, and Qicken 2003. Mainly Excel, this way I can customize how I keep track of things.

I have been using the YNP system for many years. No mistakes and very cost effective. It is available in most localities.

Sean,

I use quickbooks pro to do all my accounting work. If you have MS Word it makes it easy to create payment information and invoices. While it is a little bit of a learning curve for the novice it is well worth the effort since it will increase your productivity by shorting the time you spend on finances.

Intuit offers free trial software that you can pick up online. The address is http://www.intuit.com

I am pretty sure peachtree accounting offers free trial software also. While I tried them some years ago I liked the versatility and ease of use with the quickbooks. Since it also works with word that is what sold me on the pro version.

If you are not looking to spend that much on the quickbooks or the quickbooks pro I know many use the quicken version which is much cheaper and just as easy to use.

Good luck.

Watch Staples for rebates on Peachtree Accounting. About every 6 weeks or so it is free with a mail in rebate.

Joseph, does quickbooks allow you to set up partners cash accounts? I guess what I’m asking is can I do every thing with this software that I would pay an accountant to do in order to run a partnerships finances?
