Why would you post a pic from 1969 and pass it off as your’s?:(
Following your lead…
I removed my post Barry., Thanks. I posted before thinking.
Any updates?
I will be in that area tomorrow. I’ll let you know.
Bump
No significant difference as of today.
I’ll keep you all posted.
David,
Happy birthday:D
any changes in the chimeny?
Bruce,
Thanks.
I drove by there yesterday and observed NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES.
That taut wire is now holding that chimney in position. Now we have to wait for a drastic change in the grading (at the footing area) or for the wire to rust away.
I go by that chimney every week, so I will update you all when there is any significant change whatsover.
I know I’m late on the post, but I gotta take August 28th as the fall date.
Do they have a neighbor in the path of this chimney? They may not be so blind.
Not within reach.
If this chimney were to fall, it would land hard (with a loud THUD) in the side yard.
Ahhh man will someone just cut the dang wire…
9/21/2008 it’s going down.
Hey David,
Anything happen with this yet? Or is it going to make it until winter? Is it still being used? Do I ask alot of questions?
Nothing yet.
That damn wire is holding it steady.
Dave, when are you going to stop at night and cut that godarn wire?
I want to see that thing come down. Next spring I bet.
It’s going to be a very SLOWWWWW process.
Now we must wait patiently, for the wire to rust away.
Here’s the big update.
The chimney has been un-professionally repaired.
Great job, ayyy?
They wrapped a nylon strap around the chimney, and secured the strap to a bracket at the ridge of the roof. That new 2X8 will hold it for a while.
