Not all Wind Mitigation Inspectors are created equal, before you invite someone over to inspect your home make sure they are a state licensed Home Inspector who has completed an advanced Wind Mitigation Course like the one conducted by Bill York.
Today there are many different people performing these inspections and not all of them are trained Certified Home Inspectors. Many are contractors who use Wind Mitigation inspections as a guise to sell other contractor related repair services. Licensed Home Inspectors with advanced training are always your best choice as they have nothing else to sell because they do not conduct repairs on homes they have inspected.

As with Mr Meeker I regret that you feel the need to degrade licensed contractor. I just ask that you might want to revisit your thinking before generally demeaning a specific group of hard working people. Certainly no malice meant to you, I’m just asking that you think a bit before you type!
