Condensate into drain

Condensate being pumped from 90% furnace/AC. The loop is the trap, does it also need an air gap before going into the sewer?
Thank you

That drain is not connected to the air flow. It comes from the combustion chamber which is nastier than the air in the sewer. So, no.

You say it is “pumped”, If there is a condensate pump, that is an air break.

No trap is required with a pump. A check valve is.
