It should clear up late pm. Maybe they will have a later start time. Looks like the heaviest rain is coming through now. Yankee stadium has a good drainage system, they could play within 2-3 hours after the rain stops.
But the game will not be cancelled.

14 - 3 is indeed a beating. Who pitched for the Sox, somebodys high school kid? I’d love to see the rubber game if it’s on, but unless all of the football is rained out…
How about the wildcard races? That's the smartest thing baseball's done in my lifetime. Keep hope alive and they will watch, and buy tickets, and drink $7 beers.
I wish they would chop about a month off of both baseball and basketball season, they're too dang long. Lewis Grizzard used to write that the NBA played for 6 months to eliminate Golden State, then start the playoffs.

Hey Len
Now your talkin’
You’re one hundred percent right. All the rest are wanna bee’s. Moose was on top of his game today. 4 1/2 games ahead.
I think Schilling will pitch next week end.
Yankees play Tampa Bay and Toronto this week, then back to Boston.
They had a good game, taking 2 from Boston and puts them back into the wild card hunt.
The Yankees win, TTTTTTHHHHHEEEE Yankees win!!!!!!!
GO YANKEES!!!!!!!! Sorry Boston fans.

Well you're half right, there are only two things in baseball; the "Haves" and the "Have Nots". It's worth noting though, that in this particular context no one could possibly classify the Red Sox as one of the "Have Nots".

Well said Brian. If i were a member of the Yankees with their 194 million payroll compared to the 1/3 or less of that payroll on the majority of the other teams, i would have to consider my team a huge failure if i DIDN’T win the world championship every year. Much more so than feeling like a legitimate “Champion” when i did. Thats an advantage no other sport allows other than maybe hockey. But that is being dealt with as we speak. I think Boston as a “have” is around 90-110 million. Pretty healthy compared to most teams, but still quite shy of the gluttonous Yankees. They let other clubs develope the talent and wait for their contract to be up, and snag em. How many home grown players do the Yankees have. Of course, any time they might start to feel too much like a failure for losing another one they should win, they can always look at their bank statements and stock portfolio. I think my team, the A’s has around a 48-50 million payroll. The Twins are what, around 40-45? I used to like the Yanks before they got out of hand with this stuff.

Spoken with the true arrogance of the Yankee fan. No, there are two types of fan, those who love the Yankees and those who do not. And I doubt you'll find very many true baseball fans who don't fit in one category or the other. I don't root for the Bankees, and I sure don't want to!

As a Home Inspector and Yankee fan I would say that the results of this weekends games “appear serviceable” It’s always nice to beat Pedro. The Sox are an explosive team and there are still 3 games to go (probably more in the post-season). The fun is just beginning.

Major League Basesball is morally bankrupt, from the glaring inequity in salaries to the anemic drug testing program, and the Yankees are the poster child for most of what’s wrong with the league. Not the sole offender by a long shot, but definitely the poster child.
I'm a Braves fan myself, mostly due to the SuperStation being on my cable as a kid. When I started pulling for them they stunk! I don't know what their salary rank is, but with all of the young guys they have it can't be overwhelming. I've really enjoyed the way the experts have pronounced them DOA at the start of the last two seasons, only to watch them take the division again and again.
I'd abandon baseball altogether before I'd root for the Yankees.
