This year seems to be the best chance for anyone to beat the Yankees in the recent past, due to a weak group of starting pitchers. That being said, they have purchased a killer hitting lineup. The Yanks have an easier path to the ALCS than the Sox, but I think most baseball fans would love to see the familiar Red Sox-Yankees face off for a trip to the series. I am ready for the unfamilar sight of Fenway hosting some World Series games.

Don’t forget about the Angels. They have pitching and hitting. They are a much better team than the one they won it all with back a few years. The Cardinals will be tough to beat in the National league.

You guy’s don’t give the twins much credit. You have to admit the Twins have a heck of a club for the payroll they have. Past records don’t mean sh!t in the playoffs. Should be a good game tonight. Cold beer, buttered popcorn & a bb game.
It doesn't get much better than this. October baseball, Fall fishing, the leaves are changing, Dale Jr's leading the points race for now, unless they take a pile of points away for swearing last weekend!

I like the Twins. They remind me of a hungrier version of the A’s, “my team”. I can’t stand baseball played in a gymnasium, though. Like all small budget teams though, they have little to no margin for error. The bench and short relief is always where the lack of $ seems to bite.

I agree, the dome stinks. I hate sitting in there when it’s 85 and sunny. After last Saturdays game being delayed due to the College game, I think that opened some eyes to the fact they need only a baseball stadium. It’s not real baseball. I can’t imagine the players like it much either. We were at a twins royals game this summer, it was really nice. Then they have to get on a plane to play here, that must really suck. But, I guess it’s only about 40 degrees out tonight. We would still need a retractable roof.
The bench has been doing really good. Ford & the other guys have really stepped up to the plate. Our manager did a smart thing our last games in New York. He played allot of the bench players. #1 it helped rest our starters & it got those 1st game in New York jitters out for the newbee bench players. That way they wouldn't be as rattled during the playoffs. #2 why let there big hitters see our best pitching & get dialed in.

The Cards looked tough too. After ho-humming the last month of the season I wasn’t sure if they would be able to start-up quickly. Hah! They looked mid-season mean in thier first game.
It was good to see the Yankees stumble out of the gate, but everyone should know better than to underestimate them. Seasoned vet stars and a culture of winning don't fade away after one loss.
I don't hold out a lot of hope for my Braves this time, they did very well just to get there. But they've had the Astros post-season number for a long time, so maybe....
Out of the entire field this year, I would love to see the Red Sox vs. the Cardinals in the World Series. Talk about some bat power!

Great game last night. I look forward to this week’s games. It’s always a battle (at least I hope so!!!). Bring on the Sox! As Yogi Berra said “Don’t worry about dem guys, we always beat dem guys”.

I have a lot of hope for the Sox this year. They beat the Bankees in the season series, and they trounced the Angels while NY struggled with the Twins. Get out the broom and sweep 'em Sox!
Meanwhile the Cardinals look like a juggernaut. Who ever plays them has a lot to deal with.
My Braves showed some real guts today coming back on the Astros to force a Game 5 in Atlanta. I almost wish they wouldn't win, the Cardinals would murder them.
