BUT has the OIR ever come out and explicitly said to stop using these methodologies, or supplied a guideline on what to do now? Or are most just following Yorks stuff as the new standard?

Sure they did, it is called the Uniform Mitigation Inspection Form, Version OIR-B1-!802(Rev.02/10) Adopted by rule 690-170.0155.

The wording on the options for determining roof geomerty is completely different on the new form from that which was present on the old form. The “50% of the wall on which its sets” standard or threshold was removed from the new form and is therefore no longer uesd to determine roof geometry, for about a year now. The old method for determining roof was replaced with a new method for determining roof geometry on the current form and Bill York’s “STUFF” is explaning roof the geometry options on the new form not setting a standard. The new form went through public workshops and meetings and was adopted by the Florida Cabinet and went into effect last year.

The instructors updated their classes also. Many insurance companies will not take the form unless you have taken a class since the new form came out.
