I did a DR Horton built home. They used trusses in this development. The home had a skylight installed that required cutting two of the trusses. Since this was one of the builder offered upgrade. There is no reason to assume this is an issue?
Actually the correct title would be cut trusses.
If that was a DR. you better call a surgeon. 
Ha! Yeah I just put in the call out that trusses as a general rule should not be cut to accommodate additional upgrades such as skylights. Referred them to the builder for original plans or a structural engineer.
