You could just have all the inspectors meet at a titty bar and skip the conference.
Thats ( sort of ) what I was thinking, if you just want to meet and talk with other inspectors you can do that at the Vegas conference and don’t have to wade through the Mike Crow 3 Ring Circus!
“…departed Thornberry…”?
I thought he was gone because I put him on my ignore list. What happened to him?
He makes fart candles now, the last I heard.
Ask Nick. That’s who booted him.
That’s all I need to know!
What amazes me is you got to be a pretty horrible vendor to get booted from NACHI. Nick gives vendors way too muck leeway.
In any group you may not get along with some, may hate others, but each has something they are better than you at. You can learn from that alone. There are people that will just share their story and maybe you can learn just what not to do. In a group like Mike’s it is also about motivation, which we all can use at times.
I have no doubt that some of “Mike’s people” would be successful without him, but how successful is the question. It is amazing how many “successful” inspectors are members of his groups, some don’t even work with Mike much but have “other guides.”
InterNACHI staffers Andrea, Kim, Michelle, and I will be there.
My talk “Three new inspector marketing strategies that work” is mid-day on Tuesday.
Similar market increase here. No 3 days spent anywhere. Give your self some credit Troy, the seminars arent why you are doing well.
I know I have done the work. I am a member because of my long term goals and not just what I am doing now.
I know where I want my business to be in the future. I am a member of a team that is led by people who have gone through what I need to do to get there. If I can avoid half the mistakes others have made growing to the size I wish to be at then I feel every dollar and every minute is an investment in my future.
It’s not for everyone, but it works well for me.
If it works for you then thats all that matters!
But then how could the people behind the Curtin make money ?
Jim
Last year from stage, I asked if anyone was an InterNACHI member. Nearly every hand went up. So I go because my members are there. Yesterday, I shipped more than 1/2 a UPS truck of stuff to give away for free at the event.
Looks like a good excuse for a trip to me!
Want a free ticket?
Gone to 3-4 of them. Always got something in there.
Once you went and listened, you often said … "Oh, I knew that already BUT were you using it … MOSTLY not.
I started life after college selling insurance for John Hancock … Zig Ziglar, sales seminars up the bootie … BUT after a few years you forget the basics AND quit using them. Mikes seminars brings a lot of that back. AND lets be honest with each other, a LOT of stuff that works GREAT for the guy in NY or in South Florida OR Gordon Fox in Houston FALLS flat on its face in Des Moines, IA. Mikes PLATINUM members in KC have never soured with the Eagles. They’re NOT bad, just a different market AND consumer mindset.
See ya all tomorrow (Monday) night in Dallas.
