A Canadian Chapter of NACHI is forming. They have a big problem up there with insurance rates. E&O insurance is way to high for a country that almost never sues.
Anyway, NACHI members Gene Wallis, Robert King, and a few other Canadians are getting a Canadian Chapter together. The insurance companies prefer NACHI but we need about 25 up there for me to get them better insurance rates.
I'm letting them all in for free for now.
Our inspector search engines such as www.FindanInspector.US are all US Zip code based anyway. A disadvantage to Canadians who have awfully ugly Zip codes. So I hope nobody squawks too much about this.
I've also found that Canadians like a Canadian presence. With the help of a Canadian company, we were able to register some .ca domains including FindAnInspector.ca and NACHI.ca Canada law prohibits U.S. corps. from registering .ca domains.
Please, if you know any Canadian Inspectors, tell them to try to pass our free online exam and join NACHI for free. Help us help you.

Hi Nick
I’ve talked to a few of our new members up there and they are in a bad way, as you know their local association (an affiliate of you know who, and in cohorts with …franchise) has done a real number on them.
I would hope that all fee paying members realise that we are helping these fellow inspectors out, and that once they have stabalised that they will be normal NACHI members, I feel that we should be supporting members of other orgs north of the border this year.

1st year free but not the renewal. They are definitely not reaping the same benefits as the US based members. If they are still not up to par with the US after their year is up then maybe they can have a lower rate the 2nd year. We need to be fair to all involved. Welcome Canadians!!

Hi all,
You are all so kind but a few things for you to ponder!
1.) Even if we pay full dues but in Canadian dollars it is basically half price already ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)
2.) Not only do we have fishing cabins, but we have plenty of ice (for use in cocktails) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)
3.)And when the US needs our help, our government will be pleased to send our two mounties in their bright red canoe armed with the best slingshots money can buy .
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, in Ontario it is legal for women to go topless!

Are there any Canadian Home Inspectors from New Brunswick , that might want to join Nachi ? if so maybe on this end ,I could meet up with them and share Nachi with them .I’m only an hours drive from NB.
If any one knows or wants to attend the Maine Chapter meeting in Oct .,

Checking out the web , there are quite a few Home Inspectors in NB.

Gerry,
Great picture! Is it the 'new you'?
Most frenchmen/women speak english anyway. It is just that a lot of them will not admit it, but they will use it for business!
