I’ve always wondered what is considered allowable as far as out of square doorways
At what point do you want that phone call… “Hey Todd, You inspected my house, and…”!!
IMO, your photo shows a door or jamb that is in process of failing!
If it’s not already rubbing on the jamb, it likely will be soon.
It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN.
Q: Did you check any other part of the wall for out of square? Is there indications the wall is settling? Other… such as a ‘bad’ flip workmanship?
It’s a condo and every time I go into this particular style it always has the corner cracks and out of square doorways
If the door is out of square with the frame I write it up as such with a picture, I’ve also seen frames visibly out of square with the ceilings in older homes. Best practice IMO is to write up what you see what you know isn’t right or even what looks not right.
“We noted the entry door to the #### was sticking and in need of adjustment.”
It looks like a 45 degree crack in the drywall at the upper right corner that was patched.
Randy hit the important observation. There has been movement there, not a badly installed door.
Diagonal crack shows the problem the door is a symptom.
