Yous Ladies talking about copper gas lines makes me smile every time I read these type of post. If yous only knew how much money I have made in past years from replacing gas control valves that were stopped up beyond repair with black oxide scaling as the result of copper piping used as natural gas lines. BTW Okla gas companies finally outlawed the use of copper. If the gas company observes copper they will not turn the gas on until replaced:D:D:D

You need to move Charley to where they only Put Gas in the Gas Lines and not a lot of extra Crap. 
And more than likely those lines were plugged up with Pipe Dope/Tape knuckleheads used on the Flare Fittings. 
You probably make just as much with Clogged Orifices from Knuckleheads using Pipe Dope/Tape on Flare Fittings.
You know how those old time HVAC Guys are. 
Yep, I been to some Third World Countries where they still have a crappy Gas Supply.
