Today I had an interesting experience. On the internachi facebook group there was a fellow from Florida who had the opinion that hvac temperature differential could not be performed by anyone other then an hvac contractor by law.
To tell you the truth I never even seen the post nor do I care however the admin made sure to delete the post with all the comments that contributors took the time to make! A group admin who’s name I don’t know unfortunately decided to remove the member from Florida and then boast about how he was saving us all from miss information! There were several members who disagreed with removing a member and stifling a debate. These members made their view known on the post the admin made to inform everyone who was ultimately in control and who would decide which opinions are acceptable.
I chimed in as I am a absolutist when it comes to freedom of speech. As other members mentioned, if the member from FL was wrong that no big deal let him have his say. Apparently there were several inspectors who disagreed with the guy from FL and were having an open debate about it. One member even said that this censoring would discourage other from contributing. The admins response to that was basically, if people want to contribute misinformation then they will be removed also.
I commented saying that I disagreed with the censorship and that clearly the admin position had gone to his head. In a second comment I mention something like, you must be a democrat so your going to decide what is “factual” and what is not and censor accordingly.
Both my personal profile as well as my business profile were removed and I can no longer even see the internachi facebook group which means I was removed and blocked.
The best admin is one who sits on his/her hands.
Hopefully Nick will see this and deal with it as clearly this admin has some control issues.

Unless something has changed recently, InterNachi hasn’t been associated with that FB Group for many years. It has been “owned/operated” by an Internachi member that grabbed the group name before Nick could get his hands on it. I think it was about 3-4 years ago now, maybe longer. Basically the same shat happened to me for voicing the truth, and I was gone. Their loss. It is mostly Florida Newbies talking about wind mits and other useless junk the rest of the world cares nothing about!
As I recall, that fb group is not run by @gromicko , and was started by someone that may have been a nachi member once upon a time.
Funny thing about fb is if you make comments on any page that the “bots” deem inappropriate, you get canceled in some way or another. There’s nothing you can do about it either. Since computers and AI run it all anymore.
Thank you for the background info on that Jeffrey. I am surprised that FB does not hand it over to Nick as he owns the trademarked name! But then again FB plays by its own set of rules.
Could be that he combined them later, but back to when I referred above, they were seperate groups.
I was a member of many inspector groups, and one by one “Fart Boy” absorbed them and deleted any member he had issue with that weren’t buying his BS. Needless to say, I was gone from most withing a year or two. Again, no loss to me. Most of them were just an extension of his Cult membership.
So true. FB has no problem deleting comments that go against its woke ideology yet they openly let fake adds run of people like Elon Musk which are total scams that take money from people. There true colours show!
You do know that Nick and Thornbury are buddies, right?
In fact, rumor has it that Nate owns a chunk of Internachi via Nick, and not necessarily by ways of a cash transaction.

So much misinformation posted here. Nat has had it out for William Chandler (FL home inspector) for a long time since Will made it very clear of his opinion of Nat online.
