Wrong Mark brother, I am sure Mark Anderson is an expert. The other Mark is who this is addressed to.
Whoops, sorry Rick.
Best to you!
You must not have read my posts. At no time did I ever say that I recommend to clients how to repair foundations,
No you said “Contractors fix it this way in my area” and I guarantee you are wrong. You may have seen one or two incorrect repairs, but any contractor worth his weight in salt is not going to repair it as described in your post. It aggravates me contractors are generalized in your statement.
Rick, Mark is correct FOR HIS AREA. I have seen many interior repair jobs in the Flint, MI area and in the Detroit, MI areas. The interior boys do a lot of advertising in those areas and people believe them.
I’ve been a state licensed contractor since 1973 and you wouldn’t believe the contractors that do things wrong around our state.
It is embarrassing as a contractor, sure, but I don’t take it personally.
They don’t know what they don’t know until they know it. That is why I support Mark Andersen’s method of stopping water intrusion and try to get homeowners and contractors to understand.
But life goes on…
Baffling, my apologies then Mark. You wouldn’t get away with that here, you would be sued straight out of business. As well contracting is a referral business, bad contractors generally don’t last long. That type of structural work generally needs to be permitted, don’t the local jurisdictions require permitting for structural repairs?
I was speaking only of the interior water diversion systems, Rick.
engineers don’t always catch, identify, or admit the actual problems n solution
now, are homeowners in much better hands with an engineer than, let’s say lol, some BOGUS engineer that many INT systems companies claim they have? Of course! All day every day. That’s another problem, the INT system co’s tell homeowners they have, will bring a SE or a ‘senior inspector’ to check out their bowed in wall, pfffttt, games, scams.
presented by ValueCheck/BPG inspections, about the instructor…
so an HI with ‘above thoughts on INT systems etc’ clouded more real estate agents brains on this subject
-agenda
types of foundations cracks
basement waterproofing repairs
…you said INT water proofing system like B Dry will relieve water pressure that caused the problem…’
Installing an interior water DIVERTING system like B Dry does NOT EVER ‘relieve’ any exterior pressures acting upon a wall that cause many of these problems, NOT on this planet
Pages 6 and 7, Damage to foundation walls… UNBIASED here eh
–Based on application submissions and project reviews the most successful repair method for F-walls…is to (dig) remove and replace the clay soil w/sand or gravel… and waterproof the EXT of the B wall…
hmmm so i wonder if Mr Mark M. used and discussed the Fairfax guide and project reviews with the real estate agents OR lol, bypassed that and other unbiased facts and yapped about B Dorks and other INT system misinformation n false claims
Um, please, no. Just no.
