Here is some fun pictures from a 4-plex. This was a 400 amp service with a main disconnect. Next to the main disconnect was this panel with the fuse disconnects with the meters between the fuses and the sub-panels (which were in each unit). Note the fused neutrals. The second pic is a little sub-panel with some over-heating. Lots of issues in the whole place. The panel appears to be original 1927.

What amazes me on that picture…and grant it I don’t get into alot of commercial any more…but the size of the line conductors i can’t see versus the size of feeder conductors…but I like the red taps on the middle bars…I would guess that feeds the FIRE detection system that will someday be needed for those circuits.

Looks like something BOB could run into in a industrial job....
