Garage Insulation

In an attached garage with an attic and ceiling insulation, should there be sheetrock or plywood on the ceiling to cover the insulation that is stapled in place? The garage is not heated or cooled. There is also a layer of OSB over the gypsum firewall between the house and garage, any thoughts on this?

Thanks so much!
Dustin

If the drywall on the separation between the house and the garage goes up to the underside of the roof, the garage ceiling can be exposed. But, since you have an exposed Kraft face batt insulation in the garage, it needs to be covered.
It can be plywood, OSB, or drywall.
Typically, it is standard to be covered with drywall and is more economical price-wise anyways.
