Your Welcome!

This is a great marketing idea for new inspectors and inspectors that do not market directly to realtors themselves for whatever reason! I get most of my work from the internet and being listed with HI directories! This is an awesome deal!. I give it

Bob, I get the internet marketing. What I don’t get is being listed on sites that don’t even come up when you type in key words. Such as “Michigan Home Inspector”. I don’t see Homecheck any where.

They are in the process of building a database which is why we are getting the offer of getting in on the ground floor for less than half price. If it were already plastered all over the internet you would be paying what most directories charge ($200 to 300 and more per year). This is a locked in rate for NACHI members. Consider it a mere $95 investment into your business. This guy is investing much into the future of the directory and once up and running predicts inspectors to average at least 10 to 15 jobs per year from listing. Well worth a hundred bucks to me! I worked a similar deal for us three years ago with Homeinspections-USA and today am getting tone of work from there each year. As a matter of fact, 80% of my business is via internet listings. Will you get rich instantly? No. but 6 to 8 months from now......

Cost of $95 looks good and the deal has no exp date so I will wait and see how they change the listing for HI’s

Right now it is address only - no phone number

Lets see what they have in mind

Can you give us any data on what we get for $95 at this time??

If it is just what we see on their home page under HI, do you have any idea what they have in mind??

Right now it looks real weak

Maybe I went to the wrong site

Richard, I don’t know what you’re looking at but here is a link to where my listing is: http://asp.homecheck.com/search/Type_Results.asp?county=Bucks&state=PA&ENGINE=1 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 It also has a link to my website. Also, they are also going to have sponsored links to the right of searches (paid advertising) like you see at the right side of Google when doing a search. BTW. This deal is only locked in for members that join before the major marketing takes place. John could pull this offer at any time once the database reaches a certain point. Bob

Thanks for the info - I was spreading bad info

It just turned out that the searching that I did landed on inspectors that must have only supplied advertising

After trying a few extra checks I found some inspectors the had phone # posted

So this offer could be pulled at anytime -- Now we have the poker game

By the way still looks promising -

Like any search site, it won’t do you a bit of good if it doesn’t rank well on the search engines for your keywords in your area. Do the search before sending in your $$.

Again! Read my post above with the link describing the directory! What part of" ("HomeCheck.com is in the process of constructing the first database exclusively for the home builders, buyers, and owner?s community.") don't you get?

This is being offered at a great discount to get a database of inspector clients Once a good database is in place you will see this ranked very high in search engines. If it were to be ranked high today, people searching for inspectors would find very few and the word of mouth of slim pickins' at the site would destroy the whole project.

Once it's ranked high in the search engines you will pay FULL price of $200+ to sign up! By all means if $95 will bankrupt you then I'd advise not to bother. I view it as future business and a small investment in my business. Some folks just can't see the forest for the trees! ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)

Here’s how you get a great database of inspectors…you offer 1 year for free with a link exchange…it gets your site up in the rankings and then you have a site worthy of charging for your service.

BTW, I have been listed on that site for a year. ( and it hasn't grown in search popularity)

No need to get all upset about it. I am just expressing my viewpoint.

Yes! offering a FREE membership would be perhaps the way you would go! but it's quite hard to get anything up and running on $0.

I know how these things work also as I'm sure do many! I personally believe it's worth the money for future business and was only trying to help out fellow NACHI members. Perhaps you can get us some of these free deals! ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)

I was asked by John Miller of Homecheck to post a response here in answer to questions asked about the service offer at Homecheck!

"Bob, I am unable to reply to the topic, as I am not a NACHI member and therefore am restricted from posting in that form. If you could post the following for me, I would be grateful."

I want to thank you all for looking at my offer to NACHI members. J I see we have a few questions and concerns out there that I would quickly like to address.

?Bob, I get the internet marketing. What I don't get is being listed on sites that don't even come up when you type in key words. Such as "Michigan Home Inspector". I don't see Homecheck any where.?

This is a very good question, I want to say first off, in part you are correct. I am not on top with all the key words in the search engines I intend to, at this time. The main reason being that at this time I am focusing on building a base foundation to the listing under Home Inspectors. I have to have this ?base coverage? in place first so that as I drive mass amounts of potential clients to you all, there is someone in that state and county, or at least close by, so that the work can be handled.

Now with that said, I am working the search engines. So in the near future I will have many key words coming up on top, and will continue to work more, and more key words to the top. At this point here are a few key words you can search in google and see them already on top, or as a paid link on the first page.

Home Inspectors
Home Inspections
Home Check Specialists
Homecheck Specialists
Homecheck Specialist

?Like any search site, it won't do you a bit of good if it doesn't rank well on the search engines for your keywords in your area. Do the search before sending in your $$.?

While I disagree that this is as cut and dry, black and white as you state, you do have a valid point. It is important in an Internet Directory to rank high on the search engines. It is however not the only key factor, nor is it ?worthless? if it is not the first thing you see on any given search.
At this time, I am assembling the foundation as stated above. As it is very important that as I drive traffic to the site, there is someone to be called, (I.E. A Home Inspector) to do the work.

?Here's how you get a great database of inspectors...you offer 1 year for free with a link exchange...it gets your site up in the rankings and then you have a site worthy of charging for your service.

BTW, I have been listed on that site for a year. ( and it hasn't grown in search popularity)?

I agree that this is certainly a way to start it, but not one I feel is most beneficial to you or me. As this reduces my ability to spend an even greater amount to advertising you to your potential clients. This is in part why you are being given a special offer that will benefit you in both the long and short term. Once I have my core foundation, I can reestablish the cost to its normal rates.

Also, we have doubled in traffic from last year, as well as climbed the search engines, as we desired quite nicely for where I want and need to be at this point in the site evolution.

I am thankful to those of you who have taken the time to post your comments. I hope I have been able to answer the few questions that have been posted sufficiently. I look forward to working with you all, not only to increase your bottom line, but also to help educate people about Home Inspection, and just how important it is to their home purchase or sale. Please call me directly with any questions you may have about the site, or offer. You can reach me toll-free at 1-888-734-8851.

Sincerely,

John Miller
Prod. Dir.

Hey all… I am in discussions with John Miller right now and was curious as to how everyone’s experience has been… seems to be early in the developement of the list but some are not happy.

I can see this exploding huge or floundering, but the price seems right for the risk...

ohh... for others considering.... he said he may pull the offer soon (next week)... but that could be sales ploy....

Let me knwo any thoughts you may have...

thanks
Jeff

I went to this site, clicked my home state, then city and found several of the local inspectors listed. Then as I paged down there was a google ad link for a company named americasdoorstep.com which gives information about do-it-you-self home inspections. The ad states ‘save yourself over $400 by doing your own home inspection’

Pretty interesting... ![icon_confused.gif](upload://qv5zppiN69qCk2Y6JzaFYhrff8S.gif)
