Hats off to all the veterans in the NACHI family. I read in today’s Philadelphia Inquirer that there are still 8 WWI vets collecting disability pensions. The VA estimates that there are fewer than fifty WWI vets remaining.
WWII vets: 3.52 million
Korean vets: 3.25 million
Vietnam [our senior trip]: 8.05 million
Desert Shield/Storm: 615,000 [theater only]
Iraq/Afghanistan: 433,000 [theater only]

Hi to all,
John, nice of you to remember the fallen of all countries today, I thought you may like to see the English response to "Armistice Day" or "Poppy Day" as we call it.
This gentleman is called Henry Alingham, he is the oldest surviving WWI vet, he laid a wreath in France today........ not too shaby for a mere 109 year-old

Think about it, the war to end all wars ended on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month of 1918.
