Has this happened to anyone?

My Google business was suspended two weeks ago. I hired a marketing company to assist.
On Tuesday a live meeting (via phone) was set up with Google. I had to show my business cards, invoices, workspace and vehicle.
My listing was restored today without my reviews.

Didn’t this happen to you a year or two ago, Peter? Or am I thinking of someone else?

That’s terrible. I hope they can get this sorted out quickly for you.

Sorry to hear about this, Peter.

I hope you’re able to resolve the problem and get your reviews back online soon.

That’s too bad, Peter. Hopefully it can be resolved soon for you.

I do seem to remember something like Richard wonders, too.

That sucks Peter. Hopefully you get your reviews back too.

This may or may not have been your issue, but everyone should check to make sure you don’t have a “location” listed in Google. You do not serve customers at a location like a storefront, so Google wants you to list as a “service area.” I have heard of people’s account getting suspended due to having this improper listing type.

Let me know if you need help determining what you are listed as. Basically, if you show up as a dot on the Google map, you have a “location.”

If you have a “service area,” it will show up as an outline, like mine below.
Note: there is a label for my business near the center, but that should not be there. It is a duplicate business listing that showed up during the Google review fiasco a few months ago. It is listed as a location, but I’m afraid to ask Google to remove it because they will likely remove the wrong one, lol.

What did Google rep. say triggered this?

Ryan is correct. It was an location error.
The first time I was suspended was about eight months ago. I had 121 five star reviews.
I made a new account on my own. I had another 21 five star reviews.
This time I was suspended again. I hired a marketing company. Now I’m “verified” by Google.
The marketing rep told me he is trying to get back my 21 reviews. The 121 reviews are too far in the past to get back.
