16’’ Wells Park summer league. Ernie Banks was our marketing director for our bank 2-3 years and played on our team. I played the same infield as good ole Ernie. He could hit the softball a mile. We would all go out afterwards and drink beer until the wee hours (Monday night) . Ernie was like family. I was only 23 then and life was about fun and more fun. Now it’s work and sleep. :mad:
