HIP Forum

Since he is in violation will you allow him to continue breaking your agreement ?

Perhaps Dom can lie to you as well and keep both open ?
Hmmmm where’s Russ all of a sudden.

Nick, at the 3 Day convention, didn’t you agree to let Dom host a forum here without having to shut his down? A yes or no would suffice. Thanks.

And he will never do that as it will PO his non-Nachi users. He can’t risk losing ANY business!

Post #43 seems to explain it …

It will be interesting to see what Nick’s response will be but I’ll ask anyway.

How do you think the ASHI and NAHI users of HG feel about having to come to the NACHI forum to access the HG message board? And to have their posts “approved” as non-members? Let the fun begin…

My guess is it will happen when HG learns enough about software to offer a actual Apple app.
How many years has that been promised as soon as well ?

Your question is evidence that you are unaware of something that Dom, Russell and I are very much aware of. The days of “the big three national associations” are gone. There is one lone superpower left in the inspection industry. Trade association consolidation is common in every industry. NAR is huge. AAA is huge. NRA is huge. AARP is huge. The Chamber of Commerce is huge. The NBA is huge. Yes, there are smaller competitors to such associations, but they are small.

In the inspection industry, consolidation has also taken place. You can look at any metric you like. We aren’t dominant in some of them or most of them. InterNACHI is dominant in ALL of them. I don’t care if you count number of members, dues collected, government approvals awarded, revenue, web presence, unique visitors, site traffic, courses, number of posts, marketing programs, member benefits, or whatever. InterNACHI is #1 in every area.

It gets worse for the other groups. If you look at the direction vectors in any category, InterNACHI continues to increase its lead on the other associations in every single area, day after day after day. It doesn’t take a genius to know that if all the bikes on your bike team are leading all the other bicyclists and your lead on each of them is increasing… your team is going to win the bike race. There is no other conclusion one could arrive at.

Again, I know this, Dom knows this, and Russell knows this. They may not like it. Actually, I’m certain that they don’t like it. But they can’t make business decisions based on what they’d prefer. They have to make business decisions based on reality. Sure, Switzerland wanted to stay neutral… and did so for as long as they could. But eventually one side of WWII was victorious over the other. There is a reason that Switzerland no longer cares what the Third Reich thinks. It’s the same reason Dom and Russell don’t much care what the other mini-associations think.

Among our industry vendors, the losers of tomorrow are the ones that hang on to association neutrality the longest. I’m personally going to see to that (I have a long memory). And BTW: Dom and Russell are very pro InterNACHI and will continue to receive all the support I can provide them.

See post #32 Using Smart Text - HomeGauge - InterNACHI®️ Forum My guess is Dom does not really want to have a forum here to be constantly compared to HG. After seeing some of the HIP videos posted here (adding videos, HIP picture captions, etc) HIP seems way too cumbersome to me, especially when compared to HG. If HIP is that good, why would anyone get so worked up, or even care, about what HG is doing?

On a side note: While I’m on the subject of wishing death to association-neutral vendors… if any of you are considering using continuous radon monitors, I highly recommend Radalink over that other company. Check out the awesome offer Radalink has made to InterNACHI members and ONLY InterNACHI members: http://www.nachi.org/forum/f32/radalink-offering-pay-100-your-international-association-certified-home-inspectors-membership-dues-98803/

I’m wearing a Radalink shirt to the Denver chapter meeting next week and I’ll be talking about them and their very generous and EXCLUSIVE InterNACHI member offer.

Robert, I have quite a few videos from HG guys that switched to HIP and did their own after Kevin. Russ was respectful enough to take the video from Kevin off (which was full of inaccuracies) his Facebook page and in return I agreed not to post the videos from ex HG guys. The whole thing was just distasteful and inaccurate. Give HIP a try some time just to see the difference, or do a 1 on 1 training. You’ll note that I’ve never said HG is bad. While we have plenty of companies switch from HG, I think both programs are very good. Guys switch for different reasons and I’m sure it happens both ways. Some times the grass is just greener on the other side. In the meantime, Russell and I will keep trying to build a better mousetrap.

the best salesmen for HG are the HIP yo yo’s that feel that they always have to post every where and any where they can to justify their choice. Most of us don’t care about what these self imposed experts have to say and grow tired of their Never ending dribble.

I was not focusing on one video. The photo caption video thread ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR3i-ejckUw ) is a good example of how different HIP and HG handles photos. Again, HIP just seems way too cumbersome to me.

It might look that way but the guys were commenting on the video because of how much of a time saver things are. The reality is anything that you’re not used to is going to look foreign and confusion. But that’s fine, coke or Pepsi!

Or craft beer.

I haven’t went back on my word to Nick. I am dropping my forum. Bob has memory loss as I just explained it the other day on another post where Bob asked for Transparency. I needed around 3 months to get my support site ready.

Our sales are strong.

HIPs user interface is different than HomeGauge. Many like ours better. Many likes HIP’s.

HomeGauge is growing. We also have 12 employees and great support!
