Home Inspection Training in Canada?

Start by announcing a lunch meeting at a place close to you and go from there. One step at a time. I did it. We had six members at first lunch. and now we are a force to be reckoned with in Alberta.

Vern is correct. Even InterNACHI had only six members once. Six people can do a lot!

I’ll come to Canada for a weekend set of classes whenever you’d like.

Speak to Nick about this.

That is great Joe. We have to target Barrie Ontario for a Chapter. They have a lot of support for **InterNachi **Inspectors and they are within reach of most.
If they set up a meeting I will come also.

Just an FYI to this thread. We are a brand new school with our first course starting on November 10th in Markham Ontario at the Hilton conference Centre. There will be some kinks to work out but our course selection is great and there are lots of goodies, add ons and deals. It will be a live classroom event for six very intense days with a very experienced course instructor formerly of another school. We plan on being a bit different and are working on having some hands on materials to play with and learn from in class. www.canadianhomeinspectortrainingcentre.com
To book one of our very limited seats please call my assistant at (only for booking) 855-627-5341
If you have have any questions regarding the course (our website isn’t quite finished but I am working on it) please email me at jim@asaphi.ca

PS We have full support from ALMOST ALL of the heaviest hitters in the business! They are all helping out and assiting us by supplying us with deals and goodies worth more than what you will pay for our course. Thanks Pro-Lab, Nick Gromicko, Home Inspector Pro and RecallChek! We are working on Flir deals also! We will also be in contact with Hub International for Insurance or possibly others who will help the new guys get started!

You should not say you have support from RecallChek for starters.
As for Hub InterNational they are also not in the good books after they decided to send a letter with extreme hike in rates saying they have taken on another supply to save face.
We do not need any more new guys either. If you are catering to the veterans with advanced education beyond what most know that would be good, however I know that you nor Hub care about the veterans and everything in Toronto is greed driven.
Sorry if the truth hurts but so does duping the public. Ask anyone that has been nailed for it.

Agreed!

Your website doesn’t work

Seems to be workin’ ok…

Q. Are you registered in the province as a career college?

It worked for me the other day when I first saw the post, but it didn’t work yesterday and it’s not working today.

Cats out of the bag.

Jim,

Don’t worry about any comments from our resident idiot Kevin Wood. There was a time when he was scamming students with his training. The MAJORITY of his alleged students are not even in the Home Inspection business, most likely due to failure from poor training.

As for his statement, “We do not need any more new guys either.”, that is just proof that once properly trained inspectors are actually working in the area, his business will probably fail as well.

Keep doing what you are doing and offer a good product. The cream rises to the top. WAFI on the other hand, just sinks lower and lower among the dregs of the inspection industry.

You are pretty bold Stephen.
How about I tell you this smart arse.I was not able to use the InterNachi training and was not able to change or influence the program. I did not train them to become Home Inspectors and only volunteered to do it based on a Contract. Also the 3 students are HI’s plus about 5 more had no intention to go into Home Inspection. 1 is now working as a renovation expert, 2 are Electricians, 2 work for the government, 1 works for Excavation Company and 1 is a Electronics technician.

If you taught a home inspection course is this not teaching them to be home inspectors? Just asking.

No!!! It was to give them a Certificate. Then they where to finish off training by whatever Home Inspection Association they wished.
I would never use Carson Dunlop as means to say go forth and multiply.

Saved.

Glad you saved it now go cry Wolf to the authority in Ontario. LOL

What does this mean they wont be around??
